Become Involved in Emergency Preparedness

The West Point City Council has commissioned six volunteer citizens to serve on the City's Emergency Preparedness and Response Team (EPRT). These individuals are responsible for coordinating various functions / areas related to emergency preparedness and response. Other citizen volunteers serve under the direction of these directors. All EPRT directors report to the City's EPRT Chief, Glen Dixon. Mr. Dixon reports directly to the Mayor and City Manager.

West Point City is recruiting individuals who would like to share their time, talents, and energy helping our community become more prepared for a possible emergency. Volunteer positions are open in a number of areas, and we are always recruiting citizens who have specialized skills such nurses, medical doctors, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, law enforcement professionals, amateur radio technicians, and individuals in dozens of other skill categories and vocations.

If you would like to become involved in EPRT, please call City Hall at 776-0970.
